Do construction sites in California need handwashing stations?
Cal/OSHA Title 8 §1527 requires washing facilities on construction sites, kept clean and stocked with soap and towels. Field crews fall under §3457, which calls for one handwashing facility per 20 workers. A station next to the toilets is the simplest way to meet both.
Read the rules in our Cal/OSHA porta potty guide or the official §1527 text.

How many handwashing stations do I need?
Plan 1 handwashing station per site, plus 1 more for every 4 toilets. Events with food vendors need a station near the food line. A 300-guest event with 8 toilets needs 2 to 3 stations. Each station holds about 20 gallons of fresh water.

Questions people ask before they book
Every answer here comes from questions renters ask before they book. Still unsure? Ask a dispatcher.
Call now(909) 939-1771How much does a handwashing station rental cost?
A two-sink handwashing station starts at about $115 for an event of up to 7 days, or about $135 per 28-day cycle with weekly service. Delivery is shared when it comes with a toilet order.
Do you fill the handwashing station with water?
Every station arrives full of fresh water, soap and paper towels. Weekly service refills water and pumps gray water.
Is the water drinkable?
The water is clean tap water for washing hands, not drinking. Bring drinking water separately.
Can a handwashing station freeze?
In the High Desert and mountains, water can freeze on winter nights. We swap to sanitizer stands or use winter treatment on cold sites.
Can I rent a handwashing station without a porta potty?
Food vendors and farm crews often rent stations alone. The same delivery charge applies.
